Sunset

I noticed the other day that the sunset was being very pretty! It was a nice break from the ‘being grumpy’ that I was in the middle of, and it turned an all-around grouchy moment into a contemplative one. So I took a picture. Enjoy!

Fog

I took this picture a few days ago on a lovely cold day. Fall took its sweet time arriving, and I have been quite tired of the melting heat; having a bit of fog and some colder weather is a nice change.

Oh, and this photo was taken with my iPhone 6, instead of with my fancy camera, because I didn’t feel like running around trying to get my camera at 6 in the morning. Pretty good, no?

Short Sands

Hey, I bet you thought I was done talking about the beach after last time. Nope! This time I have even less to say, since there are some pretty dang beautiful pictures in here, if I do say so myself. The subject matter made it fairly easy.

Books

E-books are nice, but they haven’t arrived at an endpoint. The Kindle is nice and all, though I must admit I’ve had a complaint or two about it. There’s a lot of room for improvement.

Cathedral

On Thursday we checked out of our hotel and started heading home. Made a stop along the way, at the ancient cathedral where the kings and queens of Denmark are crowned.2013-08-08 11.51.37

Hamlet

On Wednesday, after visiting Frederiksborg Castle, we headed up to Kronborg Castle, where Hamlet was set.

Minecraft

My host family has a younger boy, somewhere in the 6-8 years age range. He doesn’t speak any English, so his communication with me is in hand signs or translated via family members. He is, however, a fan of Minecraft – I’m not sure why I’m surprised at all, what with the game originating much closer to here than my home.

Castle

Spent the day wandering around a castle-slash-themepark thing. It started as a castle, and stuff got added on. The castle is called… okay actually I’m just not gonna try spelling the name. I’ll get it wrong, guaranteed.

Airport

It’s a goal of mine to do some writing on this blog about my exchange to Denmark this summer, so I may as well start now: in the car, on the way to the airport. (Worry not, I’m not driving.)
I’m nervous and excited – this is the first trip of this magnitude, in terms of both length and distance, that I’ve ever taken. Everyone keeps assuring me that I’ll have a good time, and I’m quick to tell them that I’m excited, and I am. Just a bit nervous, too.
But it’s 03:30 PST, so I’m barely able to coherently think, much less write. I’ll leave this post as it is and try to get some rest or something.
Bye for now, Internet.
